The Background StoryA Living Body of Work
This reflects the evolution of my thinking over the past few years and is one of my creative outlets.
An important part of my work is helping my clients find a way to use a form of creativity that works for them as a somatic practice. Creativity when used in a healthy way moves thoughts and emotions through and out of the body so they aren’t stored and over time build up and into illnesses.
Some of the earlier articles were written when I described myself as a meditation-based coach, supporting people recovering from burnout. As my own work deepened, I found myself in a broader exploration of psychology, human potential, philosophy and identity. I also began to embrace my work as an alchemist and guide, ...helping people navigate periods of transition with greater clarity, courage and authenticity. In many ways, that's what alchemy has always meant to me: transforming life's challenges into gold.
Alongside this, I developed a fascination with the ways Eastern and Western philosophy shape our understanding of identity, well being and connection to self. I'm particularly interested in how these differing worldviews influence culture, behaviour and, ultimately, the nervous system.
Meditation has been one of the greatest teachers of my life. While my own practice has been heavily influenced by Buddhist philosophy, I believe everyone can benefit from experiencing authentic contemplative practice, regardless of their background or beliefs.
Today, my work has evolved into something broader: helping people—and the brands they create—become the truest expression of who they are.
